Privacy Notice

This notice covers Bates Pharmacy, Unit 6, Aylesbury Shopping Centre, Church Grove, Aylesbury, Dublin 24, D24 FH70 (“we”, “us”, “our”).

The data controller responsible for your personal information is Sarah Bates, on behalf of Bates Pharmacy. You can contact us about privacy at info@bates.ie or by phone on (01) 461 0278.

When you use the repeat prescription form on this website, we collect:

• Your full name
• A contact phone number
• Your prescription scheme (GMS/medical card, DPS, or private)
• Details of the medication or items you're requesting
• Any optional notes you choose to add

Details of the medication you take can reveal information about your health. Under data protection law this is treated as a special, more sensitive category of personal data, and we handle it with extra care, as set out below.

If you use the chat assistant on this site, please don't enter any personal or medical detail there. It only answers general questions (opening hours, how to order, and similar), it doesn't store what you type, and it isn't connected to your pharmacy record.

We use this information to prepare your repeat prescription, contact you to confirm or clarify your order, and let you know when it's ready.

For your name and contact details, our legal basis is that processing is necessary to provide the service you've asked for. For health-related information (such as the medication you're requesting), our legal basis is that processing is necessary for the provision of pharmaceutical care by a registered pharmacy.

Your request is seen by the pharmacist and team at Bates Pharmacy who prepare and dispense your prescription. We don't sell your information or share it with third parties for marketing.

To notify the pharmacy by email when you submit the form, we use Resend, an email delivery service, purely to send that one email. They process the message on our behalf and don't use its content for their own purposes.

We keep information submitted through this website for 12 months from the date of your request, after which it's deleted. This is separate from, and doesn't change, the records the pharmacy is required to keep about your actual prescriptions and dispensing history under pharmacy regulation.

Information you submit is sent securely to the pharmacy. We limit access to what's needed to prepare your order, and we don't keep more detail than necessary. If you're ever unsure what to include, our online form asks only for the basics, and our pharmacist confirms everything against your record before anything is dispensed.

This website doesn't use tracking or advertising cookies. It uses your browser's local storage only to remember your chosen theme (light or dark) and text size between visits, purely for your own convenience. This information stays on your device and isn't sent to us.

Under data protection law, you have the right to:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy of it
• Ask us to correct information that's inaccurate or incomplete
• Ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep
• Object to, or ask us to restrict, certain processing
